About the Role

We are seeking an Acute Nurse Practitioner to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As an Acute Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient programs of care.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to take on a challenging role and contribute to the development of our team.

As an Acute Nurse Practitioner, you will have significant experience in acute care and will be responsible for prioritizing patient needs and making decisions about patient care.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care, taking into account their dignity, religious, and cultural needs.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will be expected to develop into expanded roles such as plastering, wound closure, ultrasound-guided vascular access, defibrillation, and maintain competency in these roles.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess valid NMC registration, have completed Practice Supervisor and Practice Assessor Training, and have completed Triage Training.

You will also have significant acute care experience and evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles.

As a practitioner, you will be able to assess and prioritize patient needs and make decisions about patient care, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
