Job Description

The GLA Energy Unit is seeking a highly skilled Policy and Programme Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing work to support the delivery of projects and programmes aimed at making London a zero carbon city by 2030.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising organisations on how to decarbonise their buildings
  • Increasing organisations' skills and understanding of decarbonisation
  • Developing decarbonisation projects to be ready for funding
  • Supporting organisations to manage the delivery of decarbonisation projects
Programmes

The Mayor's Clean Energy and Net Zero Communities programme aims to help public sector organisations, schools, and communities in London reach net zero. The programme works with GLA Group organisations, Community Energy Groups, London Boroughs, schools, and other delivery partners to identify scalable approaches to non-domestic decarbonisation.

Requirements
  • Lead on the delivery of mayoral projects and programmes
  • Build new and maintain existing partnerships
  • Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Source, select, and appoint consultants and contractors
  • Manage the activities of programme and project delivery contractors
