Imperial College London: Policy and Programmes Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Programmes Officer to join our team at Imperial College London. As a key member of our policy and programmes team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering a programme of work that raises the profile and understanding of Imperial's world-leading health research to policymakers.

At a critical time for advances in medical technologies and unprecedented challenges for national health infrastructures, you will provide expertise in using the research from Imperial's academic community to inform policymaking. You will work closely with academics and professional services staff to produce engaging and insightful outputs based on their research, targeted at government and parliamentary audiences.

You will support the building of capacity within the Imperial academic community to engage with policymakers, keeping them informed of ongoing developments in Westminster.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a programme of work to raise the profile and understanding of Imperial's health research to policymakers
  • Provide expertise in using research from Imperial's academic community to inform policymaking
  • Work closely with academics and professional services staff to produce engaging and insightful outputs based on their research
  • Support the building of capacity within the Imperial academic community to engage with policymakers
Requirements:
  • Policy professional with an in-depth knowledge of UK health policy and the broader policymaking environment
  • Strong communicator, able to distil complex ideas into concise and compelling arguments or recommendations
  • Passionate about the role science can play in supporting policymaking and focused on delivering high-quality impactful outputs
