The company is a leader in advanced energy solutions and renewable power generation, seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Design Engineer to join their team.


Key Responsibilities:


Designing high-quality rotating machine systems from receipt of order to handover to the customer, adhering to business procedures, standards, and regulations with a strong focus on safety.


Main Tasks:


Integration of large electro-mechanical systems to meet environmental and transversal requirements.


Planning and executing relevant engineering activities to ensure projects meet on-time delivery, cost, and quality targets, including testing and documentation.


Participating in phase reviews, design reviews, ILS reviews, FMEA, and determining their attendees, objectives, and next steps, as well as acting as the review chairperson.


Requirements:
A relevant degree in Electromechanical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.

Proven track record of designing mechanical systems in a professional engineering environment.

Ability to perform basic structural design and calculations, structural design specifications, and mechanical Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

A solid understanding of rotor dynamics, including torsional and lateral vibration, shaft lines, bearings, mechanical coupling, and shock absorption.

Some experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, or similar.

A basic understanding of electrical and power generation principles.

This role is only eligible for UK nationals due to the projects involved.
