We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Design Engineer to join our experienced team at Quartzelec's Rugby site.

The role involves working on diverse and challenging projects, covering all aspects of mechanical design, manufacture, and repair of complex machines.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability:
  • Designing new machinery components and complete machines, as well as upgrades and retrofits
  • Creating CAD designs for complex components
  • Conducting root cause analysis of failed machinery
  • Developing repair instructions for failed equipment
  • Providing technical support during project phases
  • Diagnosing machinery issues prior to failure, including on-site analysis and life assessment reports
  • Offering service and maintenance support
  • Completing stress analysis, including FEA
  • Collaborating with the tendering and project management teams to win new projects and provide technical oversight
  • Developing test methodologies and instructions for dynamic testing and analyzing results
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in an engineering design environment
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing techniques
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of rotating machines, such as motors, generators, and turbines
  • Degree qualification with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience

A competitive salary of £**£45,000 - £60,000 per annum**, depending on experience, will be offered to the successful candidate. We are an equal opportunities employer and value diversity in the workplace.
