Job Title: Senior System Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our team at Motorola Solutions. As a Senior System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex network architectures, ensuring the reliability and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network architectures, including configuration data-bases and design documentation.
  • Specify user/system interfaces, including validation and error correction procedures.
  • Assess associated risks and specify recovery routines and contingency procedures.
  • Translate logical designs into physical designs.
  • Undertake routine installations and de-installations of hardware and/or software.
  • Conduct tests of hardware and/or software using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools.
  • Correct malfunctions and document details of all hardware/software items that have been installed and removed.
  • Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems and services.

Requirements:

  • Fundamental knowledge of system level design.
  • Fundamental knowledge of VMware and NSX.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Server Family, including core servers, high availability, IIS, and file shares.
  • Fundamental knowledge of network principles, WAN technologies, routing, and global load balancing.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft SQL.
  • Experience with SIP technologies, including WebRTC.
  • Experience with architecting or supporting Azure.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business/customer-facing experience.
