Job Summary:

As a Field Service Engineer - Automation, you will be responsible for preparing, planning, testing, and commissioning marine automation related activities in support of new build, upgrade, and service related projects. Your primary focus will be on engineering activities, including preparing, planning, testing, and commissioning high and low voltage automation system upgrades. You will also perform routine maintenance tasks and training across all the company's Marine UK customer base automation systems, both onshore and offshore.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering activities - preparing, planning, testing, and commissioning high and low voltage automation system upgrades.
  • Analysing, diagnosing, and repairing automation related software and hardware defects across all automation systems installed across the company's Marine UK customer base.
  • Writing, updating, and maintaining documentation in line with company procedures and best practice.
  • Providing technical support to both the customer and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

This role requires a strong background in automation systems, with experience in high and low voltage automation system upgrades. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additionally, you should be able to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
