We are seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Highland Council. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing a locally responsive, efficient, effective, and customer-focused local repairs and maintenance service.
Your primary objective will be to achieve key performance targets locally while ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have suitable technical qualifications and experience in the building industry. You will also possess good knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practices related to construction and building maintenance services.
In addition, you will have experience in supervising/ managing staff/building trade functions, as well as suitable training/qualifications in Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). Travel is expected throughout the local operational area to deliver the duties of this post.
Key Requirements- Suitable technical qualification and experience in the building industry.
- Good knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practices related to construction and building maintenance services.
- Experience in supervising/managing staff/building trade functions.
- Suitable training/qualifications in Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
