Job Title: SEN Teacher

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at The Aurora Group. As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the primary national curriculum to students with SEN, adapting it to meet individual needs
  • Work with a range of approaches to learning, including visual teaching methods, to engage reluctant learners
  • Manage a range of strategies to support students with anxiety and other emotional needs
  • Collaborate with the pastoral/clinical/SEND support teams to ensure the health, well-being, and personal care of students
  • Supervise and support Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience in achieving outstanding outcomes for students with SEN
  • Thorough working knowledge of the primary national curriculum and how to adapt it for students with SEN
  • Experience of working with young people with ASD/SEN
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
