Maintenance Operations Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Watmos Community Homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the property responsive repairs service, overseeing major repairs, and interacting with customers and resident committees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the allocation of jobs, work in progress, completions, and contractor utilisation.
  • Deal with major repairs, including disrepair claims.
  • Oversee the management of the empty homes/voids service.
  • Interact with customers and resident committees, providing updates on performance and conducting regular visits to estates.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate academic, professional, or technical qualifications in fields such as housing, surveying, building, or construction.
  • Knowledge of Construction Design and Management Regulations and other primary Health and Safety Regulations relating to maintenance and construction works.
  • Experience in overseeing property maintenance and building surveying.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, organisational, interpersonal, project management, and prioritisation skills.
  • IT proficiency and the ability to sensitively negotiate solutions to problems between vulnerable clients, contractors, and others.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel between different sites is required.
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle or effective use of public transport are essential.
