Assistant Buyer

u&i Search is seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Assistant Buyer to join their team. As a key member of the buying team, you will be responsible for managing the critical path of new product development, ensuring timely delivery of samples and products to customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the sample library and ensure that all samples are properly stored and maintained.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve any issues that may arise and escalate as necessary to the wider team.
- Work closely with the Merchandiser and Brand Manager to ensure that all samples and product components are delivered on time and meet the required standards.
- Design and create bespoke barcoding for key customers.
- Conduct competitive shopping analysis to inform commercial pricing strategy and provide suggestions for seasonal range strategy.
- Provide graphic support to the Brand Manager and assist with marketing and photoshoots as required.
- Develop and maintain selling tools to support the agent network, including product catalogues and sales prospecting packs.
- Market and industry knowledge, with a creative and innovative approach to product development.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, with a flair for creativity and technical ability.
- Commercially astute with good Excel skills, able to prepare data to support product meetings and accurately input data into systems.
- Passion for product development and a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues.
