About the Role

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workforce Development Specialist to join our Workforce and OD Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a professional, expert, and specialist HR service to the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice on employee relations issues, sickness absence, and change management processes to allocated divisions within the Trust.
  • Act as a first point of contact for operational managers across the Trust, offering guidance on HR and employee relations matters.
  • Support the delivery of the Workforce and OD People Strategy, providing a specialist service to the wider organization and offering proactive support to the organization with the provision of expert advice on HR and ER programs.
  • Manage and lead complex organizational change programs, ensuring seamless implementation and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with stakeholders, driving forward the contribution of HR services to the Trust.

Requirements

  • Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent relevant postgraduate diploma qualification or experience and level of knowledge.
  • In-depth understanding of modern human resources and major organizational developments.
  • Performance management experience.
  • Experience of advising operational managers across a wide range of specialized HR and employee relations matters within a complex, multi-site, unionized environment.
  • Experience of managing and leading complex organizational change programs.
  • Experience of advising on employee relations panels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at local level.
  • Ability to work to tight and challenging deadlines, managing complex and multiple pieces of work.
