Teaching Assistant Role in Weston-Super-Mare

This SEN Teaching Assistant position is based in Weston-Super-Mare and offers a unique opportunity to work closely with children and young people who require additional support. The role involves providing one-to-one assistance, helping pupils access the curriculum, and creating engaging learning experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide individualized support to pupils in class and around the school.
  2. Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and tailor lessons or activities to meet their specific needs.
  3. Make learning enjoyable and accessible for all pupils.
  4. Support pupils when they are struggling, helping them to remain calm and focused.
Essential Requirements
  1. A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children or vulnerable adults, with at least one reference from a recent paid or volunteer role.
  2. A valid DBS/Police check.
  3. Able to work between 08:30-15:30, 2-5 days a week.
