We are seeking a talented Revenues & Benefits Control Manager to lead our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for managing the revenues and benefits function, ensuring accurate administration of Housing Benefit, Council Tax, and Business Rates.

About the Position
This is a 30 hours per week contract (£30 per hour umbrella rate) for an initial 3-month period, with potential for extension. As Revenues & Benefits Control Manager, you will oversee the team's performance, manage third-party contracts, and provide technical guidance on user enquiries.

Main Tasks
* Ensure all team members perform their duties and responsibilities as outlined in their job descriptions.
* Provide regular updates to the Business Rates Support & Development Manager on system-related issues affecting Housing Benefit, Council Tax, and Business Rates performance.
* Oversee the year-end reconciliation and annual billing process, guaranteeing that accurate bills and benefit award letters are issued according to legislative requirements.

Essential Skills
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a local authority setting.
* Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation governing Housing Benefit, Council Tax, and Business Rates administration.
* Strong analytical skills, with ability to develop and implement performance metrics and regular reporting mechanisms.
