About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a high degree of expertise in business development, particularly in the area of mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, conducting due diligence, and negotiating deals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisition targets, including financial analysis and commercial evaluation.
  • Develop and implement a business development strategy to identify and pursue potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and other business leaders.
  • Negotiate and finalize deals, including drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in business development, with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proven track record of success in identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, conducting due diligence, and negotiating deals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of commercial principles and financial analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification.
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of commercial business models and industry trends.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global business environment.
