Health and Safety Specialist

As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and the safety of our operations. You will work closely with the Head of Health, Safety and Environment to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures that meet the business's strategies and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure they are relevant and properly implemented.
- Provide support to departments and project teams in matters relating to health and safety and the environment.
- Manage the internal and external safety data sheet system and contractor management system on site.
- Aid departmental managers in reviewing departmental risk assessments and advise on specialist health and safety areas.
- Carry out internal compliance audits and make recommendations for improvement.
- Work with the business to identify external audits in areas of high risk.
- Monitor, evaluate, and review Health and Safety policy, plans, and practice, making recommendations for new policies and procedures as required.
Requirements:
- Nebosh Diploma (equivalent) or working towards Chartered Member of Institute of Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven understanding of onsite work in Pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, food, research, or any relevant industry.

- Highly collaborative with team members, manager, and business/functional partners.
