The Opportunity
Cundall is seeking a highly experienced Planner/Surveyor to join our Edinburgh or Glasgow Office as a key figure in the strategic development of our Town Planning activities in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for a tenacious and client-focused professional to play a leading role in managing the successful delivery of innovative planning solutions to some of the most prestigious and technically challenging built environment design projects in the region and across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of planning solutions to major projects
- Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives
- Lead and mentor a team of Planners to deliver high-quality projects
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Cundall is a major multi-disciplinary consultancy with a presence in both Edinburgh and Glasgow. We offer a supportive environment and opportunities for growth and development. Requirements
- Highly experienced Planner/Surveyor with a strong grasp of statutory planning policy and procedures
- Qualified to MRTPI, MRICS or equivalent level
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams
- Excellent communication and project management skills
Cundall now has a presence in both Edinburgh and Glasgow and there is flexibility to work in either location or share time between each office. Salary and terms are negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience.
Working across a variety of key sectors including education, residential, commercial, healthcare and retail, you will be responsible for preparing planning appraisals of land, buildings and concepts, developing original and creative solutions that surpass client requirements. You will work closely with colleagues of various engineering disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects. You will take the lead on planning, regeneration and master planning commissions, while also developing new and nurturing existing outstanding client relationships that maximise customer satisfaction and repeat business.
About the Role
This is a key role in our Town Planning team, requiring a highly experienced Planner/Surveyor with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects. You will have a proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams, and excellent communication and project management skills. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic planning initiatives, and leading and mentoring a team of Planners to deliver high-quality projects. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and working closely with colleagues of various engineering disciplines to deliver technically excellent, profitable projects.
