About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our First Response Service team in Exeter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing urgent access to mental health services for people of all ages, including children, adults, and older people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct brief clinical risk and mental health assessments, formulation, and short-term contingency planning for individuals presenting in mental health crisis.
  • Work collaboratively with other mental health services and agencies, such as the police, ambulance, local authority, and third sector, to provide face-to-face assessments and empower individuals, carers, and families in decision-making.
  • Develop and implement brief individual packages of care and treatment, ensuring safe and effective outcomes.
  • Provide evidence-based clinical interventions, making autonomous clinical decisions, and championing people's rights, including dignity, equality, diversity, choice, and respect.
