About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant SENDCo to join our inclusive primary school in Barnet. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the SENDCo to ensure excellent SEN support for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the SENDCo in managing and developing the school's SEN provision.
  • Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure effective monitoring of student progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide tailored support for students with SEN.
  • Help lead training sessions and workshops for staff on SEN best practices and strategies.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of SEN interventions and suggest improvements as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A background in teaching or support roles with a genuine passion for SEN education.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A clear DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
