About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the Community Mental Health Team, covering patients living in Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, appraise, and give professional supervision to junior medical staff as agreed by consultant colleagues and the medical director.
- Ensure that junior medical staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
- Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care.
- Record clinical activity accurately and comprehensively, submitting it promptly to the Information Department.
- Participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and, as appropriate, for the whole mental health service.
- Attend and participate in the academic programme of the Trust and the team, including lectures and seminars as part of the internal CPD programme.
