Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity in Hertfordshire

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Hertfordshire, providing clinical leadership to our Community Mental Health Team. The post involves assessing and treating individuals with mental health problems, referred to secondary care services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to junior medical staff, ensuring they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and Working Time Directive.
  • Participate in service and business planning, contributing to the development of mental health services.
  • Attend and participate in the academic programme, including lectures and seminars, to enhance professional development.

Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management
  • Full registration with the GMC and a licence to practise
  • CCT in Psychiatry or inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry
Person Specification
  • Experience of clinical responsibilities in general adult psychiatry
  • Experience of collaborative working with social care and other agencies
  • Excellent clinical skills and a wide range of specialist experience
  • Ability to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training
