Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Learning Disability or Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and a forensic history.
Our team provides specialist care for individuals with learning disabilities as part of our Mental Health and Learning Disability Delivery Unit.
The post holder will be required to work as part of a seven-day service, including weekend, nights, and bank holidays.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the ward for a span of duty and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist healthcare to meet the needs of patients.
- Act as primary nurse for a small group of individuals and adhere to legislative frameworks.
- Promote equality for all service users through anti-discriminatory practice, supporting individuals' rights, choices, beliefs, and identity, and by using effective communication.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care through the principles of Positive Behavioural Support.
