Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing specialist care for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the ward for a span of duty and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist healthcare to meet the needs of patients.
- Act as primary nurse for a small group of individuals and adhere to legislative frameworks.
- Promote equality for all service users through anti-discriminatory practice, supporting individuals' rights, choices, beliefs, and identity, and by using effective communication.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care through the principles of Positive Behavioural Support.

Requirements
- 1st Level Registered Nurse.
- Professional registration with the NMC.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary and/or multi-agency working.
- Knowledge of the principles of Clinical Governance.
- Awareness of Health and Safety legislation.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Evidence of postgraduate study.
- Teaching and assessing/mentorship of students.
- Experience of research and/or audit and implementing evidence-based practice.
- Experience of working with the designated client group.
