Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Senior Android Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our mission-critical mobile applications. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Android development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our Android applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and solve technical challenges
  • Ensure the performance, quality, reliability, availability, and responsiveness of our mobile applications
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are maintained
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and practices

Requirements

  • 10+ years of industry experience shipping Android applications
  • Strong proficiency in Android development languages, such as Java and Kotlin
  • Experience with popular architectural design patterns, such as MVVM and MVI
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
  • Experience working on mission-critical software with stringent performance and reliability requirements
  • Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
  • Knowledge of security best practices for mobile applications
  • Familiarity with cloud services and backend integration
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of published apps
