Health & Safety Manager Role

Lionsgate Contractors, a leading Civil Engineering Company, seeks a Health & Safety Manager to oversee the effectiveness of their Health & Safety Policy. This role involves creating and maintaining HSE-required documents, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and conducting formal H&S assessments during site visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive Health & Safety Policy.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain HSE-required documents, including Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Safe Working Methods.
  • Compliance: Ensure the company meets all Health & Safety documentation, training, and qualification needs.
  • Communication: Keep Directors and Senior Managers updated on statutory obligations and health and welfare events.
  • Site Visits: Conduct formal H&S assessments during site visits and recommend safety improvements.
  • Improvements: Implement safety improvements and maintain necessary accreditations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in Health & Safety management in Civil Engineering.
  • Skills: Proficient in creating and implementing HSE practices and documents.
  • Assessment: Experienced in evaluating Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Safe Working Methods.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH NCRQ/NVQ Level 5 IOSH (essential).
