We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at GLG Vets in Widnes, Cheshire. As part of our vibrant veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Veterinary Care Expertise:
You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners by providing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals. You will conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries. You will collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients. Additionally, you will provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this role is £60,000, taking into account your experience and qualifications as a Veterinary Surgeon. This competitive salary reflects the level of expertise and dedication required to succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
- Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
