Front of House Porter

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Front of House Porter to join our team at The Wellington Hospital, a leading private hospital in the UK. As a Front of House Porter, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to patients, visitors, and colleagues, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and greet patients on admission, escorting them to their room and showing them the facilities.
  • Transport patients and equipment around the hospital, providing a secure and efficient service.
  • Provide a security service, ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Participate in the cardiac and fire response team, responding to emergencies and providing critical support.
  • Perform waste duties, collecting clinical and recycling waste daily, and mail duties, franking outgoing mail and distributing incoming mail and courier post.
  • Assist with office moves, relocating furniture and equipment around the hospital.
  • Perform out-of-hours duties, responsible for changing medical gas cylinders.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Porter or in a customer service-focused role.
  • A clean UK Driver's License is essential, with manual car driving desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
