Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assembly Production Manager to join our team at North Star Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and coordination of all production floor operations, ensuring the highest level of safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Production Planning and Control: Develop and implement effective production plans to meet business goals and customer demands, ensuring timely delivery of products and minimizing costs.
  2. Manufacturing Operations: Oversee the receipt and movement of released product, manage production flow, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of production personnel, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure the highest level of skill and knowledge.
  4. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement lean manufacturing systems, such as 5S, problem-solving techniques, and value stream mapping, to increase efficiency and productivity.
  5. Scrap Control and Reduction: Develop and implement strategies to minimize scrap and waste, ensuring compliance with quality standards and reducing costs.
  6. Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including industrial engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure seamless production operations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Plastics Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing management.
  2. Knowledge and Skills: Proven knowledge of planning, budgeting, and operations in a production environment, with expertise in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP) and lean manufacturing systems.
  3. Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of production personnel.
