Head Veterinary Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team as Head Veterinary Nurse at our Springfield Veterinary Group location.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced RVN to lead and develop a branch within our group. As Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of veterinary nurses and supporting the head nurse at our Crystal Peaks site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks, annual risk assessments, and COSHH management.
  • Stock Care: Manage stock control, ordering, and stock changes based on drug availability, CD audits, and stock take management.
  • Staff Care: Develop and implement rotas, manage holidays, conduct one-to-ones, check-ins, and appraisals for a team of 4 VNs.
  • Building Care: Collaborate with our caretaker to ensure the building meets H&S regulations and maintains a high standard.
  • Clinical Care: Improve clinical standards, support changes within the team, conduct clinical audits, cleaning audits, and arrange lunch and learns.
