About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled RVN to lead and develop a branch within our group, working in collaboration with our head nurse at our Crystal Peaks site.
As Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of 5 RVNs, 3 SVN's, and 2 PCA's across both sites, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety: Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks, annual risk assessments, and COSHH management.
- Stock care: Manage stock control, ordering, and stock changes, as well as CD audits and stock take management.
- Staff care: Develop and implement rotas, manage holidays, conduct one-to-ones, check-ins, and appraisals, and ensure staff training and development.
- Building care: Work with our caretaker to maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to H&S regulations.
- Clinical care: Improve clinical standards, conduct clinical audits, and arrange lunch and learns.
We are looking for an excellent communicator, a team player, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and confident in all areas of general small animal nursing.
This is a 50/50 split between Head Nurse and nursing duties, with opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
