Amazon News Monitoring Specialist

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized News Monitoring Specialist to join our Corporate Communications team at Amazon. This role plays a critical support function within the organization, requiring strong analytical skills, internet savvy, and the ability to sift through high volumes of information.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring online news and forums, identifying notable stories or posts, and managing Amazon's general public relations email account. They will need to possess excellent research skills, including the ability to conduct quick and efficient research using advanced search techniques and boolean logic.
This is a critical role that requires relentless attention to detail and a passion for finding relevant information in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work in a global team environment, and exercise sound judgement and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor online news and forums to identify notable stories or posts
- Manage Amazon's general public relations email account
- Conduct quick and efficient research using advanced search techniques and boolean logic
- Identify and escalate critical issues to management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Experience in professional communications or public relations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
