Assistant HR Advisor

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant HR Advisor to join our HR team at Oakleaf Partnership. In this role, you will support the HR Advisor with HR administrative tasks and provide first-line HR advice to managers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist HR Advisers with managing employee lifecycle processes, including probation, contract extensions, visas, sponsorships, and exit procedures.
  • Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees on policy and procedural issues.
  • Support line managers with first-line employee relations case management and attend informal and formal meetings.
  • Undertake HR projects and contribute to the improvement of internal processes.
  • Work closely with the Recruitment Team to ensure seamless progression through the recruitment process.
  • Maintain the HR database with staff changes.
  • Support the HR Adviser with the effective delivery of change management programmes.
  • Contribute towards the development, review, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, guidance documents, and templates, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.

The ideal candidate should be educated to degree level or possess an equivalent qualification and be at least part-qualified in CIPD membership. They must have a robust working knowledge of current employment law and HR best practices. Experience in a generalist HR role, providing operational support and advice, is essential, along with a proven ability to manage a demanding workload and meet tight deadlines.

The candidate should exhibit excellent IT skills and attention to detail, strong organisational and administrative abilities, and the capacity to use initiative and make sound judgements. A positive attitude, desire for growth, and strong teamwork capabilities are also crucial.
