About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate tutor to provide 1:1 education support to young people with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN/SEMH needs and be able to build effective relationships with them. You will need to be highly engaging, able to manage and implement behaviour strategies, and have a strong understanding of Maths and English curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 educational sessions to children with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to meet the needs of each child
  • Work with children at their homes or in public spaces, such as libraries or community centres
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistent support for the child
Requirements
  • QTS or Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Strong understanding of Maths and English curriculum
  • Ability to build effective relationships with children and parents
