About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a 1:1 tutor, you will work with children who require additional support due to Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Your role will involve providing educational sessions to children in their homes or public spaces, such as libraries or community centers. You will need to plan resources around the child's needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects like Maths, English, and Science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with primary or secondary children who may have SEN/SEMH needs or be looked after (LAC).
  • Provide educational sessions face-to-face with children at their homes or a public space.
  • Plan resources around the child's needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects.
Requirements
  • Hold QTS or be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or SEN/SEMH experience.
  • Be highly engaging and able to build effective working relationships with children.
  • Manage and implement a range of behavior strategies.
