Job Overview:
Austin Fraser is recruiting for a Biotechnology Specialist to join their client's team in Cambridge. This role involves working on the production and quality control of specialist reagents, using established methods and techniques.

Key Tasks:

  1. Prepare reagents, perform lyophilisation, and conduct quality control checks on small-medium scale batches.
  2. Handle receipt of reagents and chemicals, including aliquoting, storage, and uploading onto the QMS as required.
  3. Collaborate with CMOs and in-house specialists to support production scaling activities.
  4. Develop and implement QC and validation protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  5. Monitor and report QC pass and fail results, addressing non-conformities promptly.
  6. Maintain accurate records and document production activities according to company procedures.

Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science discipline.
  • Experience in an IVD development environment, adhering to ISO 13485 standards.
  • Commercial laboratory experience, preferably with device development involvement.
  • Proficiency in RT-PCR and classic molecular techniques.

Salary Package:
This role offers a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. You will also benefit from a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and generous holiday entitlement.
