AEM Limited has been Europe's leading independent overhaul and repair facility for over 60 years. We have a solid reputation in the aerospace industry for providing a broad range of services to international and regional airlines, helicopter operators, and airframe manufacturers. We conduct business from three sites in the United Kingdom and offer specialist services for over 5,000 components across various aircraft systems, including aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear, and safety equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out site repairs and modifications on both mechanical and electrical equipment. Key tasks include:

  • Mechanical tasks:
    • Mechanical fault finding on pumps, gearboxes, lathes, grinding machines, and boring machines.
    • Machine strip-downs and rebuilds.
    • Planned and preventive maintenance.
    • Mechanical installation, including pipe fitting and machine moves.
  • Electrical tasks:
    • Electrical fault finding on both single and three-phase systems.
    • Electrical installation work, including panel building.
    • Planned and preventive maintenance.
    • PAT testing.
    • Programming temperature PID controllers.
    • Creating risk assessments and method statements prior to commencing work activities.


The ideal candidate will have proven relevant experience working within a maintenance or repairs engineer role. A strong knowledge of electrical systems (both single and three-phase) and mechanical experience of maintaining plant equipment are essential. The ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings is also required. Additionally, the candidate should have proven ability to fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems, strong organizational and planning abilities, and be well-versed in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MS Office, MS Project).
