Job Title: Haematology/Oncology Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Haematology/Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our Paediatric Nursing team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a key member of our CNS team, providing specialist support, education, and advice to patients, families, and staff. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that delivers high-quality care to children and young people with cancer and blood disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with haematological and oncological conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct research and audit to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Teach and mentor colleagues to enhance their knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with external agencies to develop cross-organizational relationships
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced nurse with a strong background in paediatric haematology and oncology. The ideal candidate will have:

  • NMC registration as a RSCN/RN Child
  • First degree in nursing or a health-related subject
  • Qualification in Paediatric Oncology
  • Teaching and assessing qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Advanced safeguarding training
