About the Role

The Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Haematology to join our team in the Haemato-Oncology Diagnostic Service (HODS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical and diagnostic services in haematology, including bone marrow morphology and multimodality haematopathology testing.
  • Work closely with the East Genomic Laboratory Hub and other research groups to advance haematological malignancy diagnosis and treatment.
  • Develop and implement effective leadership and management strategies to support the team and drive service improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and excellent communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC and a CCT in Haematology or equivalent.
  • Experience in reporting bone marrow morphology and multimodality haematopathology testing.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and patients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
