Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Patient Services Supervisor to join our team at Hornsea and Aldbrough. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Care Navigation Team, ensuring the smooth delivery of patient services and maintaining high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Care Navigation Team, including patient services, reception tasks, and administrative functions.
- Develop and implement team protocols, prioritizing task delegation and identifying task champions.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the wider team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Manage the GP and nurse appointment system, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
- Deal with minor patient complaints and grumbles, maintaining a suggestions box and comments book.
- Produce staff rotas, manage annual leave, and ensure compliance with health and safety, information governance, and equality and diversity policies.
- Take a continuous improvement approach, assessing systems and procedures to enhance patient care and services.
- Coordinate, plan, and deliver team development, including induction, training, and performance management.
Requirements
- Business administration qualification (NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience).
- Customer care and data protection knowledge.
- Strong organizational, administration, and communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft and email.
- Experience in clinical software (EMIS Web/SystmOne/Vision) is desirable.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and work in a patient-facing role.
