Join Our Team as a Specialist Learning Support Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Specialist Learning Support Officer. As a member of our Visual Impairment Team, you will play a vital role in supporting visually impaired pupils within our secondary resource provision at Crofton Academy.

About the Role

  • Provide excellent support to visually impaired pupils, promoting their independence and academic success.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Use your excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confidence in using a computer and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs, particularly visual impairment.
