We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Pricing Analyst to join our global Merchandising & Planning organisation at Burberry. This is a unique opportunity to take accountability for Strategic pricing operational activities and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify pricing opportunities through analysis of pricing architecture, performance trends, and competitor pricing intelligence.
  • Monitor changing global macro-economic factors and make appropriate price adjustment recommendations to maintain global pricing consistency and protect group margins.
  • Seasonal pricing set up to ensure that global retail and wholesale prices are appropriately derived each season.
  • Assist the Senior Planning Manager in working with Finance to provide seasonal pricing guidance and global pricing architecture relationships to be incorporated into seasonal and financial plans.
  • Create price positioning recommendations for new countries by undertaking analysis on relevant taxes and duties as well as local competitor price positioning.
  • Support the Senior Planning Manager in the formulation of the longer term Global Pricing Strategy.
  • Review key style pricing and performance with the product merchants incorporating appropriate competitor pricing comparisons and agree seasonal price adjustments as appropriate.
Seasonal Pricing Set-up
  • Oversee the seasonal price bands (core currency pricing relationships) process with merchants and implementation in Flex PLM.
  • Oversee the creation of seasonal retail and wholesale factor files for SAP.
  • Supervise the build and maintenance of seasonal pricing files.
Business Liaison with Pricing Execution Team
  • Manage quarterly price change requests and approvals, working with the Product, Retail & BI Pricing data team to facilitate a smooth implementation.
  • Liaise with BI pricing team on ad-hoc pricing queries, seasonal realignments, emergency price adjustments, and any other price execution requests.
  • Actively engage in coaching and mentoring activities, driving personal and professional development across the team.
  • Strong commercial awareness of a retail business.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team in a fast-paced commercial, luxury environment.
  • Creative, innovative, and customer-oriented when faced with business challenges.
  • Experience with SAP would be advantageous.
