Teach and Inspire at GBS Global Applied Knowledge

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Global Management to join our academic team at GBS Global Applied Knowledge. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality lectures, facilitating engaging discussions, and guiding students through complex business theories and practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Global Management and a passion for teaching. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met. Your extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter and commitment to academic excellence will be essential in driving student success.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills. A firm commitment to personal and professional development, attention to detail, and ability to maintain thorough and organized student records will also be valuable assets in this role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality lectures, utilizing a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
  • Manage and lead modules/units, ensuring alignment with course objectives and learning outcomes
  • Keep up-to-date with subject-specific and pedagogic innovations, incorporating best practices into teaching and assessment
  • Contribute to the development of course materials, ensuring relevance and effectiveness

You will also be expected to attend meetings as required, contributing to decision-making processes and developing productive working relationships within the faculty team.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • An honours degree in a relevant field, with qualifications at least Master's level and a PhD or equivalent professional experience
  • A Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period)
  • Previous lecturing experience for similar courses, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction
  • Experience supervising student work, providing support, and feedback, as well as teaching in the wider subject area
  • Experience with distance learning, supporting learners both online and face-to-face

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience designing or developing academic or professional education programs

We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, and access to a workplace pension scheme.
