Job Title: Domestic Abuse Specialist

4Recruitment Services is seeking a highly skilled Domestic Abuse Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work as part of Wakefield District Domestic Abuse Service (WDDAS) to deliver a help line and intake service, providing initial contact, support, and a consistent referral intake pathway for those wishing to access WDDAS.

The Domestic Abuse Specialist will be responsible for triaging referrals, assessing risk and needs of individuals, and working with partners to establish the immediate safety of individuals contacting or being referred to the service.

The post holder will work as part of a multi-agency team to provide a high-quality frontline and first point of contact service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering an immediate co-ordinated response to those at high, medium, and standard risk, prioritizing those at highest risk of serious harm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage referrals and assess risk and needs of individuals
  • Work with partners to establish immediate safety of individuals
  • Provide high-quality frontline and first point of contact service to victims of domestic abuse
  • Deliver immediate co-ordinated response to those at high, medium, and standard risk

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience working in the field of domestic abuse
  • Experience of providing crisis intervention in relation to domestic abuse
  • Experience of assessing needs of domestic abuse clients and carrying out risk assessments
  • Enhanced DBS
