Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with government policy makers and stakeholders to promote the National Trust's cause.
  • Identify and advise on potential risks and opportunities that government policies will create for the Trust.
  • Work with National Trust staff and external partners to develop and implement effective policy strategies.
  • Develop and maintain the National Trust's views on public policy, with a particular focus on planning, infrastructure, and the built environment.
Requirements
  • Experience of working on public policy issues, with a good understanding of the UK political system and government policy-making processes.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner, with a focus on impact and influence.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of current UK public policy relating to local planning and infrastructure.
