About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacy professional to join our team as Deputy Service Manager for Dispensary and Distribution. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the pharmacy department's stock control, temperature monitoring, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all stock in the pharmacy department, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory control.
  • Work closely with the lead pharmacy technician for Dispensary and Distribution to effectively manage teams of pharmacy assistants.
  • Provide training and mentorship for new starters in the dispensary and in stores.
  • Assist in procurement for the pharmacy department.

Person Specification
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures acquired through diploma level qualification or equivalent training and experience.
  • GPhC accredited qualification in pharmacy.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy, including working within a pharmacy dispensary.
  • Experience in managing a service and/or leading a team.
  • Logical and lateral thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organisational skills.
