Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced mechanic to join our team as the Foreman in the Automotive facility at UPS Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Automotive shop, ensuring that the Package fleets are maintained to a high standard.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working flexible shift patterns weekdays. As a Mech 3 (Foreman), you will expertly handle a variety of repairs and maintenance work on a large fleet, carry out regular maintenance inspections, complete online records and stock control, and work as part of a team with a focus on quality to achieve reliability and maintenance targets.

Requirements
  • City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics
  • Experience of working with commercial vehicles including LGVs
  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and priorities accordingly
  • Full UK driving license held for at least 2 years
  • An LGV Class 1 license would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Flexible, friendly and enthusiastic attitude
