Permit Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Permit Officer to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the operation and management of the Council Permit Scheme for Roadworks and Streetworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and deal with permit applications accurately and efficiently within agreed timescales.
- Assist in the coordination of permits, working as part of a team to resolve any conflicts, refusals, or variation requests.
- Liaise with utility companies to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Maintain precise and accurate records in line with permit procedures and legislation.
- Assist in managing fees, fines, charges, and Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs).
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Statutory Guidance and National Conditions for Permit Schemes.
- Experience of a computerised street works database system to analyse and input street works notices/permits.
- Significant experience of using computerised mapping systems.
Working Arrangements:
This is a hybrid working position, located in Cambridgeshire.
