Job Title: Security Officer

MAN Commercial Protection is seeking a skilled Security Officer to join their team at a busy Distribution site in Barnwood, Gloucester.

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Security Officer to provide a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out various duties, including reception, access control, alarm monitoring, and CCTV investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reception duties, including badge printing, area access, and alarm monitoring
  • Controlling the access of visitors, staff, and contractors
  • Internal and external patrols to ensure site security
  • Following site procedures and reporting incidents and accidents to the customer
  • Gatehouse duties, including checking drivers' IDs and vehicles
  • Screening and search when required
Requirements
  • A valid SIA guarding/Door Supervisor Licence
  • A 5-year checkable work/education history
  • Competent computer skills with a good knowledge of computer systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to create comprehensive incident reports
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
