About the Role:

Caxton seeks a Data Scientist to join the Quantitative Development & Data team (QDD) as a Quantitative Developer.

As a member of QDD, you will be responsible for developing large timeseries and data solutions, ETLs, and quant libraries using SQL, no-SQL, C#, and Python.

You will work closely with the Quantitative Analytics Group and Trading Staff to architect and build scalable web services for applications and front office users.

The ideal candidate should have strong Python skills, excellent quantitative reasoning, and software design abilities.

In addition, they should possess a clear grasp of SQL and relational database fundamentals, experience with high-efficiency programming and multi-threading, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

The salary range for this position is approximately $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Maths, engineering)
  • Excellent quantitative reasoning and software design
  • Strong Python skills
  • Demonstrated experience with high-efficiency programming and multi-threading
  • Clear grasp of SQL and relational database fundamentals
  • Ability to multitask and produce high-quality code
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Operates with the highest degree of ethics and integrity

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of financial instruments & data: FX, Futures, Interest Rates derivatives, Options
  • Proficiency in another programming language such as C#, Java or C++
  • Web development skills
  • Experience with AWS
