About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marubeni Komatsu Ltd. As a key member of our on-site presence, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing Komatsu plant machinery while ensuring safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-planned preventative maintenance, including completing accurate and timely maintenance, and documenting all work.
  • Carry out Walk Around Inspections to ensure the unit is operating to expected performance levels.
  • Identify any parts required to carry out additional work from Walk Around Inspections.
  • Keep customers and supervisors informed of estimated time of arrival and register arrival on site.
  • Complete dynamic site-specific risk assessments and method statements prior to commencing work.
  • Complete all works to plan as agreed with customers and the service office.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with heavy plant and machinery.
  • Experience of working on customer sites.
  • H&S training in PPE awareness and hand tools.
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Use of field-based maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
  • NVQ level 2 in plant maintenance or equivalent.
